One of our earliest collaborations was the furnishing of Playa Coco, a project of town-homes overlooking Coco beach in Nicaragua. All these pieces were designed and built during the time when we were both working for Simplemente Madera (Chris as designer and photographer, Jon as production and technical manager).

We developed a range of practical pieces working closely with the client and fulfilled their brief, which was to create contemporary furniture for the project that celebrated the beauty of the tropical hardwoods available in Nicaragua.

The majority of the wood was recovered from areas of Nicaraguan rainforest destroyed completely or partially by Hurricane Felix in september 2007.
